Beach and Jungle

We have spent the last 2 weeks relaxing on the beach and in the jungle (again). At Puerto Lopez we stayed in very dog friendly hostel - they had adopted 4 lovely strays! The weather was lovely...hot but mostly cloudy so we did not have to hide in the shade all the time (still need factor 50 on though).

We found out that someone had recently tried to break into our seat storage because the front clasp was hanging off - the threaded inserts had been pulled out from the seat base. We bought some 2 part epoxy resin and made a good repair.

During a boat trip we saw an amazing dolphin acrobatic display and also some humpback whales - very close to the boat. One whale jumped right out of the water but we missed the pic!

In the cloud forest at Mindo we saw loads of lovely hummingbirds and butterflies.

A trip to the equator at Museo Intinan - the middle of the world!

We met a couple of local bikers from Quito out for a ride, one with an AT like ours but sprayed in the old colours!

We had a fun trip over a 'cable car' powered by a car engine to visit some more waterfalls!
