Into Peru....

We left Bolivia and crossed into Peru without the Bolivian green tourist card that we weren't given when we entered. Expecting all sorts of beaurocratic hassle leaving Bolivia we were pleasantly surprised not to even be asked for it!

Just over the border we met a Peruvian couple travelling the other way on a KLR 650 and stopped for a chat - of sorts - in Spanish. They were very friendly and helpful as usual.

On Lake Titicaca we went on the floating islands of Uros, made from reeds. Very touristy but still really interesting.
Also the beautiful island of Taquile, famous for it's weaving and serving delicious trout for lunch!

A spectacular and scary ride took us along the rim of the Colca Canyon - it is apparently twice as deep as the Grand Canyon. We enjoyed some Andean Condor spotting -  rising up on the thermals from the depths below...Mr Robin kept a low profile!

We are still meeting plenty of friendly dogs and also some cute baby Alpacas!
The little brown dog here, came on a 6km walk along the valley to the site of a mummy in the rocks.
