Now in Honduras :)

Honduras has a bad name, drug gangs murdering each other, muggings and occasionally holding up tourists on the road. The city of San Pedro Sula holds the dubious title of the 'murder capital of the world' - about three a day!

At the border we met a very friendly customs official and with a handshake we were welcomed into Honduras. Our first impression continued and Honduras is probably the friendliest country we have visited so far. There are a lot of armed security everywhere, petrol stations, shops, banks (as usual) and restaurants. The weapon of choice is the pump action shotgun.

A stop over at Comayagua saw Mr Robin share the town square with seven armed police, in the shadows. Comayagua is a lovely colonial town which used to be the capital. We stayed in a beautifully restored house set around a courtyard where we met biker, Scott, from Roatan island on his Yamaha Super Tenere.

At Lago de Yojoa, we spent time kayaking, hiking and chatting to Rich and Drew who are travelling south on their Suzuki DR650's.

We are back in the rainy season here with some massive thunder and lightning storms in the afternoon and evenings - the biggest we have seen on our trip.
