We are enjoying Bolivia and all that it throws at us! (Except the rubbish littering the beautiful landscapes). It isn't the easiest country to travel around - roads with blockades, terrible surfaces, roadworks, crazy drivers and donkeys to list but a few hazards.......Add to that hardly any infrastructure for tourists except in the major places, which means nowhere to stay in areas you would like to.
But we have found the terrain and scenery amazing and diverse and the people friendly and helpful most of the time, even in the small altiplano towns where the women are all togged up in their colourful skirts and funny hats!
The dogs are in a worse state though, although you still get the friendly ones to accompany you on a walk like we did today - a lovely girl came on a 5k stroll round Lake Titicaca, she was a bit matted but otherwise ok, she turned down our offer of a bit of apple too so she couldn't have been hungry!
We will remember Bolivia fondly when we leave for Peru soon - we both had our birthdays here too - Phil's in Sucre and Dee's here at Lake Titicaca. Phil had his first hair cut while we have been away on his birthday, a bit of a leap of faith but it turned out the best he has ever had!
